What is Nutritional Therapy?

Based on the study of nutrients within the body, nutritional therapy promotes the use of food as the basis for healing. As a recognised complementary therapy, nutritional therapy can be suitable for those with chronic conditions as well as individuals wanting to improve their general health.

Nutritional Therapists use a variety of tools to assess potential nutritional imbalances that may be contributing to an individual’s symptoms and hence compromised health.  They aim to address these nutritional imbalances and help support the individual back to good health. Practitioners treat each case as unique and recommend personalised nutrition and lifestyle programmes.

Nutritional Therapists can work alongside medical professionals to provide a programme that works in conjunction with any medication prescribed. However, Nutritional therapy is not a replacement for medical advice.
